Creamy Tuna, Peppers, and Cabbage Skillet

Growing up I remember having tuna casserole and liking the creamyness of it; like comfort food. My Creamy Tuna Peppers, and Cabbage Skillet was inspired by that, just replacing the noodles with cabbage and giving it extra nutrients with the peppers! If you don’t like tuna, replace it with chicken!

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 2 chopped bell peppers (any color)

  • 1 head of chopped cabbage

  • 2 teaspoons pink salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic

  • 3 cans tuna in water

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • 4 oz cream cheese, cubed

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt the butter together with the bell peppers.

  2. Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and mix with the other ingredients.

  3. Add 1 teaspoon of pink salt, black pepper, and granulated garlic. Mix well.

  4. Add the tuna (after draining the water) to the skillet and stir to combine.

  5. Pour in the heavy cream and mix with the other ingredients. Add 1 more teaspoon of pink salt.

  6. Add the cream cheese cubes evenly throughout the skillet and stir while it melts.

  7. Cook until the vegetables reach the desired consistency.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
