Creamy Warm-Spiced Curry Beef & Cabbage Skillet
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef (83% lean)
1 head cabbage, sliced thin (noodle-style)
2 tablespoons dried minced onion
2 tablespoons curry powder
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ginger powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons pink salt (divided, plus more to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup water
6 oz cream cheese, cubed
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, dried minced onion, 1 teaspoon of pink salt, and black pepper. Sauté until the beef is nearly browned.
Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet, stirring gently as it begins to reduce in size and mix with the meat.
Add the curry powder, turmeric, garlic powder, ginger powder, cinnamon, the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of pink salt, and the water. Stir thoroughly to evenly coat the beef and cabbage with the spices.
Reduce heat slightly and continue cooking for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage starts to soften.
Add the cubed cream cheese, stirring it into the warm mixture as it melts. Cook for another 5 minutes until the cream cheese is fully incorporated and the cabbage reaches a soft, noodle-like texture. Adjust salt to taste before serving.
